So many thanks to everyone who has written to me to share their excitement and anticipation over this Alcide Casting business — Thank you!

OOC: Just in case Rudy Reyes is cast, I am heading out to his book signing in NYC tonight to get a copy (or 3) of his book, Hero Living, signed. I will be running a fun contest in the case he is cast as Alcide, the winner getting one of these signed copies. Details Below:

Fantastic book, even if RR is not Alcide...

I was thinking – @AlcideHerveaux haiku’s? Winner take all? Can a brother get a RT? Spread the word #trueblood….

(care of @samurikitten)

Maybe I do snap my fingers and recite beat poetry at open mic nights.

The long and short of things

Well, you may have heard, but @JacksonHerveaux blew things BIG TIME at the Supe game on Halloween. He was second to leave the table, losing over 1 million in the first hour alone. He was distracted, we all assume, by the coming full moon and the win the week before, which left him feeling all-too-confident in his skills. He was really no match. You should never play poker against a full demon.

So where does that leave us?

Well, Dad did not pay @EricNorthman back after he won the Atlantic City pot, as that was his buy in for the finals, so in addition to losing all his winnings from AC, he is still in debt with those Shreveport Vamps. Actually, Northman is not asking for anything–right now. He “invested” in Jackson and his gambling ways, so now he has us at his beck and call. If he asks a favor, there is no way we can refuse. We are stuck because, with the debt already incurred by Dad’s excessive trips to The Horseshoe Casino, and this indebtedness to @EricNorthman (who kindly bought out his local debt too), we are, for all intents and purposes, owned by Eric Northman.

What a nice bloodsucker.
